Training overview
This programme is designed for college and university students, volunteers and student groups who wish to develop enhanced first aid and emergency preparedness skills.
The programme covers emergency assessment, basic life support awareness, CPR, AED awareness, bleeding control, burns, fractures, shock, unconsciousness, choking, emergency communication, evacuation procedures, emergency assembly, disaster preparedness, natural disasters, human-made disasters, casualty management, basic triage awareness and volunteer response.
Students are introduced to the importance of organized emergency response and the role trained volunteers can play in supporting community safety during emergencies. Scenario-based learning and practical demonstrations can be incorporated to improve understanding and preparedness.
