Training overview
The Home Nursing Training Programme is designed for individuals involved in home-based caregiving, elderly care, patient assistance and family caregiving.
The programme introduces participants to basic principles of safe and responsible patient care in a home environment. Training covers personal hygiene, hand hygiene, infection prevention, patient comfort, cleanliness, bed preparation, bed-making, patient positioning, mobility assistance, safe transfer of patients, nutrition and hydration support and elderly care.
Participants are also introduced to basic awareness of pressure sores, patient communication, emotional support, maintaining dignity and privacy and recognizing situations that require professional medical attention.
Caregivers should follow the instructions of qualified healthcare professionals and should not undertake medical procedures beyond their level of training or authority.
